The Chicago Bulls entered the 1991-92 season as the defending champions. The bulls started the new season 1-2, but went on to win fourteen straight games after that. The Bulls would continue the hot streak and finished with the best record in the NBA going 67-15. The Bulls won the Central Division and took the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. Michael Jordan won his second straight NBA MVP and won his sixth straight NBA Scoring Title. Both Jordan and Scottie Pippen made the NBA All-Star game. Jordan made the All-NBA First Team and Pippen made the All-NBA Second Team.
The Bulls made it back to the NBA Finals to defend their championship as they took on the Portland Trail Blazers. The Bulls dominated the Trail Blazers in game one winning 122-89, Jordan led the Bulls with 39 points on the night. After game four, the Trail Blazers tied the series 2-2 but that was it for them as the Bulls finished the series after winning the next two. In the closeout game, the Bulls won 97-93. The Trail Blazers led for most of the game, but fell apart in fourth quarter to let the Bulls come back. Michael Jordan won the NBA Finals MVP averaging 35.8 points a game.
