The 1998-99 season was the rookie year for Peyton Manning and when the Colts made the excellent decision to pick him first instead of Ryan Leaf. Manning would go on to be one of the best to play, Leaf went on to be one of the biggest bust in NFL history. During Manning’s rookie year, he threw for 3,739, 26 touchdowns, but threw for 28 interceptions on the year. The Colts would only win three games on the year. Denver Broncos finished the season 14-2 to receive the number seed in the AFC with the help of QB John Elway and MVP of the year RB Terrell Davis.
